32Red Bet will benefit from a sound group reputation
This week saw the debut of the extensively upgraded and re-branded Bet Direct sportsbook, acquired from Sportech last year by the 32Red group. Re-branded 32Red Bet, the improved site will benefit from the sterling reputation which its parent group has earned with players at its online casino and poker venues.
With an appealing new layout and easy navigation, a greater number of markets and an improved bet-in-play interface, the new site was launched in time for the Grand National betting in the UK. The debut underlines the company's intention of offering integrated betting and gaming opportunities for both the 32Red and Bet Direct brands.
Ed Ware, the chief executive officer at 32Red said: “We launched ahead of the Cheltenham Festival and responses from our customers to these improvements have been pleasing.”
Adding to the good news of the launch, Ware revealed that 32Red PLC first quarter trading across the group has been in line with its expectations after the Cheltenham Festival proved a "success" for its online sports betting.
32Red acquired loss-making Bet Direct last June in a GBP12.5 million deal with Sportech. The acquisition joined a stable that includes 32Red Casino, Dash Casino, betdirect Casino, 32Red Poker and betdirect Poker. |
