Entraction Q3 Financial Figures Up in 2008

Recently, the Entraction Network released its financial figures for the third quarter of 2008. The numbers in Q3 2008 in comparison to the third quarter of 2007 were dramatically different, much to the delight of the company’s investors and stakeholders. The network plays host to Devilfish Poker, whose namesake, David “Devilfish” Ulliott, is one of the most successful and recognizable poker players in the world.
Net sales were SEK 86 million, up from SEK 56 million during the same quarter last year. The increase marked a gain of 54%. One of the most significant figures was the company’s Operating Profit, which is essentially a measure of how viable a business is as a direct result of its operations. Last year during the third quarter, Entraction actually posted a loss of SEK 114,000. This year, a profit of SEK 13.5 million marked a major turnaround, good news for its investors. In a further manifestation of the company’s favorable third quarter results, its operating margin during the third quarter of 2008 was 15.7%, compared to -0.2% in 2007.
Individual revenues from each of the company’s core business were also given. Poker revenues were SEK 58 million, which is up from SEK 44 million during the third quarter of 2007. Casino revenues were SEK 16 million, more than double last year’s total of SEK 6 million. Sporting bet revenues were SEK 1.5 million, which was actually down from SEK 1.9 million in 2007. It was one of the only downward-trending stats for Entraction. Royalty income was SEK 5.4 million in the third quarter of 2008, up from SEK 3.2 million during the same period last year.
The Entraction network also announced that it had just launched Bingohuone, its first Bingo site. Peter Åström, CEO of Entraction, commented in a press release, “We see a large potential in Bingo, but more than anything it makes Entraction a strong provider of online gaming. The company grows strongly and we can show a very positive development in profitability. We will also intensify the work with adding more proprietary gaming products to our platform.” Åström added that although Bingohuone is its first Bingo site, the company has already inked deals with other partner sites for further development.
Online poker rooms that operate on the Entraction network include 24h Poker, Good Guys Poker, Bamba Poker, Sense Poker, 66 Poker and perhaps its most well-known site, Devilfish Poker.
