Swedish online poker provider has been quietly building a significant presence.
The announcement this week that the new online poker site World 3d Poker.com is to sponsor a hospitality event at the Amsterdam affiliate conference next month has put the spotlight back on the Swedish software supplier Designed Quality Entertainment (DQE) and its growing online poker operation The 3d Network.
Eight sites have now joined the network, which has been building player liquidity in Scandinavia and Asia, where at least one of its licensees is financed.
Costa Rica-based World 3d Poker launched a week back and boasts a professional and fully serviced site offering a range of popular games in tournament, freeroll tournament and sit and go style online gambling. The new arrival has made much of the identikit-style avatar customising feature that the DQE software offers.
DQE's Pennsylvanian parent group, Duquesne Light Holdings Inc is a 587 000 customer public electricity corporate presently in the throes of a $3 billion takeover by an Australian consortium led by the Aussie MacQuarie investment bank. Shareholders and regulators approved the deal at the end of March. |
